knitting knews

I clearly haven't been blogging much recently, but at least I've been knitting!

I've finished all the pieces to my jemima jumper and now just have to block them so that I can sew it up and then go search out the perfect buttons. at the rate i'm going, I might just have this jumper ready for the fall! :)

I also receieved another fun package from my secret pal this week - that's it on the left...
fun LUSH soap, cane handles for a purse (i'm thinking of making the one from the SnB book - Elizabeth has inspired me!), 3 skeins of Noro Kuryeon in a beautiful colorway, and a make your own pattern book that I have had my eye on for quite a while. Oh, and there was also a yummy bar of M&S chocolate in the package, but half of it vanished so quickly, that the rest of it had to be hidden away in the icebox for safe-keeping! Thanks Secret Pal!

I've also started the blanket for Mike's soon-to-be nephew Steven. I'm SO loving this colour combination! and since the pattern calls for KnitPicks yarn, the price was great too!

I think i'd use this yarn again, although the colours are a bit too vivid for my liking. but it would be great for kidswear, aside from the hand-wash only warning....

i wonder how well this stuff felts?

Aside from the knitting, things are much the same as ever. study, study, knit, slack, study. blah. but at least its friday - the weekend always brings something new!

see y'all next week!

Wow! I am so honored to get a reference on your blog! And I'll be even more honored if you've been inspired by ME to do knitting! Actually, I keep getting lots of complements on my bag so it is a popular design! Let me know if you start on it! :)
