Canadian Winter

A few weeks ago, the weather men warned of snow in Newcastle. A day or two later, it snowed. Big fluffy flakes that fell from the sky and began to accumulate on the grass and in the gardens. About 20 minutes later it was gone, although i did hear that in some areas outside the city, the accumulation reached about 2 or 3 centimetres.

Last night, the weather men warned of snow in Ottawa and surrounding areas. Around 11pm, big fluffy flakes started falling. About 17 hours later, it's still here - ALL 30+ CENTIMETRES OF IT!!!

I was going to take some photos of it to post here, to show you what the city looks like under its white blanket, but 45 minutes of waiting for my bus to show up this morning kind of dulled the beauty of it... maybe tomorrow I'll like it better, since snow is always so much better when you don't have to go anywhere in it.
