one more thing...

I forgot to mention two little things... first, this lovely 6 foot, fresh cut tree cost us a mere $25, about 12 british pounds. Last weekend in Newcastle they were selling 4 foot potted trees for 15 pounds... I had forgotten just how spoiled we Canadians are to have all this space on which to grow Christmas trees!

Second, one of the gift guides that I read in a British magazine was featuring a car window ice scraper that fits into your wallet. It made me laugh. Lots. Can you imagine cleaning this car with a credit card-sized scraper?!!
