Mike has been busy at work this week, which makes him a little stressed. When he's stressed, he doesn't sleep - and when Mike doesn't sleep, I don't sleep in. Today proved (yet again) why I really should not be up and attempting to be productive before I've had my full 8 hours of sleep.**
So much for my idea that a nice hot bowl of porridge would be the perfect thing at 10 past 7 in the morning! (at least my porridge jar didn't break!)
**It is my belief that getting up before
seven sunrise should be reserved for special occasions - ski days, going to the airport to leave on vacation, and getting up early on summer camping (or sailing!) trips to watch the sun rise and contemplate the glass-like surface of the nearby ocean or lake. Getting up and trying to be useful while its still dark just leads to disaster. (how can you tell I don't have children?!)

yeah, but if you did have kids then you could just blame any spills on them. Not that I ever do that.
