Panpan est fini et l'autre stuff

Look! Panpan is all finished! Saturday knitting at the the Centurion expanded into an impromptu invite to Helen's place for lunch (thanks for having us Helen!!), which didn't actually end till about 6pm! What a great way to spend a Saturday!

Good thing i was amongst friends when stitching in Panpan's face - there were a few brief moments when I was sure that the recipient of this jumper would end up with a life-long terror of rabbits! but the filled in eye and mouth definitely improved Panpan's look!

I still have to block the sweater, which is why there are lines on the sleeves - they were knit in the round, and I was moving the joins every row to prevent ladders... guess I wasn't so good at it, huh? :)

I'm know working on my Jemima sweater again, especially after seeing Helen wearing hers on Saturday - its such a great sweater for grey English spring days! I'm about 6 inches into the front, but i won't bore you with a progress shot... I'd love to spend all week finishing this, but somehow i don't think that my supervisor will believe me of i try to explain that this sweater is a creative expression of my reasearch findings - oh to be a fine arts student!

I'm already planning my next endeavour though - the next one for me, at least. Somehow, i only just came across the Sunrise Circle Jacket from Interweave Knits today, but already I'm loving it - what a great fall jacket it will be! I think I'm going to take advantage of being in Canada, and knit it in one of the KnitPicks yarns... they recommend either Wool of the Andes or Andean Silk - I think it will depend on the color I choose (although at $1.79 US a skein, a wool of the andes version would only cost me about $18! I'd better order soon, while the Canadian dollar is soaring!). But I think I'm going to have to start it soon before the humidity makes knitting with wools really uncomfortable!

anyway, now i should go back to work so that i can justify a few hours of knitting later tonight... but here's a closeup of panpan before I go, just cause he's so darn cute!

Your sweater looks lovely!

I've just bought the yarn for the Sunrise Circle Jacket too - it cost me £45 (ouch). I wish Knit Picks would ship to the UK! Never mind - I'll just have to sweet talk my Dad who lives in GA!
