getting to know your friends questionnaire, part 1

AGES ago, my friend Lauren sent out this questionnaire, which we were supposed to fill out and email out to our friends. But instead, I'm gonna use it as a meme. except its long, so I'm gonna do it in several parts. Consider yourself memed if you want to fill it out too! :)

K, here goes part one...

1. What time did you get up this morning? 8am - compared to my usual 7:15, that was sleeping in!

2. Diamonds or pearls? diamonds - Irish superstition says that pearls bring sadness because they're tears of the oyster... or something like that. Regardless, I never give pearl jewellery as a gift!

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema? The Da Vinci Code

4. What's your favourite TV program? sex and the city, even though its in re-runs.

6. What's your favourite cuisine? Asian - sushi, chinese, thai, vietnamese, you name it. but not too heavy on the green or red curry please.

7. What foods do you dislike? tomato sauce (except on pizza) and black licorice

8. What is your favourite crisp? black peppercorn kettle chips - sadly, I can't seem to find them in Ottawa, only the peppercorn and lime ones, which just aren't as good!

9. What's your favourite CD at the moment? snow patrol's eyes open

10. What kind of car do you drive? Mike's green mazda mx-6 - hopefully soon to be replaced with a new-to-us VW Golf

11. Favourite sandwich? on bread, peanut butter, banana and honey (gotta have the honey!) On a bagel, cream cheese and banana - trust me, its yummy!

12. What characteristics do you despise? holier-than-thou-ism and hypocrisy

13. Favourite item of clothing? comfy jeans

14. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go? to the Greek Islands, but on a sailboat - gotta escape from the tourists somehow!

16. Favourite brand of clothing? any women's line that wasn't designed to fit pre-pubescent boys

18. Favourite time of the day? dawn, but only when you've stayed up all night to see it, or you're up early to go on a trip somewhere.

19. What was your most memorable birthday? my 21st - we were out at a pub and met a group of australian guys who kept buying us drinks. one of them looked like Pacey from Dawson's Creek

20. Where were you born? vernon, BC

21. Favourite sport to watch? hockey - on tv, or at the arena

24. What fabric detergent do you use? Gain, cause it was cheapest one there when we bought it

25. Were you named after anyone? no

26. Do you wish on stars? yes - its gotta be the first one you see that night

27. When did you last cry? when mike flew home to Ottawa after visiting me in Newcastle

28. Do you like your handwriting? nope

29. If you were another person, would YOU be friends with yourself? sure, why not.

31. Do looks matter? only if your personality sucks. gotta have something going for you, right? :)
